Forestry mulching uses a drum mulcher on a tracked machine to grind brush, briars, saplings, and small trees exactly where they stand. The material becomes a mulch layer that holds the soil, keeps mud down, and breaks down naturally over time. Compared to traditional clearing there is nothing to burn, nothing to haul, and far less ground disturbance, which matters on the slopes and creek-fed ground we work around Jefferson City, Sevierville, Morristown, and Knoxville. It is the method we have been running week in and week out on large clearing projects across East Tennessee.

What Forestry Mulching Handles Well

Mulching is the right tool for reclaiming overgrown pasture, opening wooded acreage, cutting and maintaining fence lines, clearing trails and shooting lanes, knocking back invasive growth like privet and honeysuckle, and prepping lightly wooded lots ahead of a build. We will walk the property with you, flag what stays, and grind the rest. Material up to roughly eight inches in diameter mulches cleanly; anything bigger, our tree and excavation crews handle on the same visit.

What It Costs and How We Quote It

Most forestry mulching in our area is quoted by the acre based on how thick the growth is and how the ground lies. After a walk-through we give you a firm number, not an estimate that grows. Because there is no hauling or burning, mulching usually comes in well under conventional clear-and-grub work for the same footprint, and the site is usable the day we leave.
